Manuscript and Document Archives
Significant primary materials that support the interpretive and educational work of the organization are available for use. These resources include letters, diaries, personal papers, business documents and ledgers, and unpublished manuscripts. Visitors and researchers will also find brochures and other ephemera, memoirs and biographies, oral histories, obituaries, and newspapers published in the valley. The document files are cross-referenced for ease of use.
The staff will assist patrons using the collections of the museum, notably the documents and photograph archives. Patrons requesting that JHHSM staff research a topic on their behalf may be subject to research fees.
The research library's winter hours are: 10am to 5pm, Tuesday through Friday. We are closed Mondays to facilitate planning for our new year-round museum.
Due to our new museum building project and various programmatic obligations, from time to time, we will be closing the administrative office and research facility. If you have plans to visit us for research purposes and don't have a flexible schedule, please let us know when you will be here so we can ensure that someone will be available to assist you. We appreciate your cooperation.-JHHSM Staff
