In addition to the many books available for sale through the museum shop, the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum also publishes scholarly works on the history of the region.

Kreps, Bonnie. Windows to the Past. Early Settlers of Jackson Hole.
Bonnie Krep's book, Windows to the Past: Early Settlers in Jackson Hole, won a "Publications-Book Award" granted by the Wyoming State Historical Society during their Annual Awards Program in 2007.

Huyler, John S. and That’s the Way It Was. Jackson: Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum, 2000.
(Jack Huyler’s book won a 2001 Wyoming State Historical Society award for non-fiction books on a Wyoming subject, and the second edition won a 2005 American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) Certificate of Commendation).
